Nonius Magnet Rings
Hutchinson Nonius magnet rings respond efficiently to industrial applications. They are fully adapted to robots used in medical applications, also for automated production lines or machine tools.
Hutchinson Nonius magnet rings consist of 2 magnetic tracks.
The Master track is composed of an even number of magnetized pair of poles.
The second track referred as the Nonius track has one pair of poles less compared to the Master track. This principle is used to calculate an offset between the two tracks to define the absolute position.
The elastic properties of the rubber, combined with good rubber-metal adhesion, ensure good performance under extreme environments.
The combination of magnet rings with the double Hall effect sensitive element of the iC-MU series integrated circuits create the absolute position measuring systems.
