Inauguration of the new ORBS distribution center

The new 4,000 m2 ORBS distribution center was inaugurated on June 14, 2023 in the presence of Hélène Moreau-Leroy, CEO of the Hutchinson group, and Philippe Henry, mayor of Château-Gontier.

The aim is to better meet customer needs through the use of state-of-the-art industrial equipment, and is part of the group’s Factory 4.0 project:

  • Improved service quality and customized packaging for customers
  • Automation and robotization of warehouse and picking stations
  • Optimization of flows, made possible by the implementation of WMS software developed specifically for this project
  • Improved working conditions for employees

The structure was designed to contribute to the group’s carbon neutrality objectives, with 2,600 m² of photovoltaic panels and a rainwater recovery system, making it a positive energy building (BEPOS).
